LOVED UNTIL THE END

"Jesus knew that his time had come to pass from this world Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved to the end "John 13:1

Chapters 1 through 12 of the Gospel of John covering some activities of the Lord Jesus for over three years of public service to Him Chapters 13 17 covering its activities during the hours before giving his life on the cross of Calvary. The five chapters are full of instruction, whether doctrines to learn, examples to follow, or virtues of the Lord Jesus and makes us admire and adore. It is notable that John announced that "Time" for his death, default in eternity, "had come," said he would not die, but would happen "in this world to the Father "John 13:1
. would have to go through certain but death by death, burial and resurrection were milestones on the road on their way out of this world to the Father.

is emphasized that despite all he had to suffer as the misunderstanding of his own, the hatred of his opponents, and the treachery of an apostle like Peter did not damper his love for his people, "having loved his own who were in the world, he loved to the end "v.1. Gave evidence of this love in spite of the vagaries of his disciples. The washing of feet was a loving service of a teacher to his students. Continued to love John, James and Peter though fell asleep in the garden of Gethsemane after being required "Stay here and watch with me" Matthew 26:38
. The third time he returned to where them, let them sleep and only when the mob led by Judas Iscariot was coming, Jesus woke up. Jesus always loved yours.

We see that Jesus continued to love his own at the time of arrest. He told the soldiers "I told you that I am, for if ye seek me, let these go their" John 18:8 . The disciples escaped being arrested with him because Jesus spoke in favor of them his love. The unusual part is that searched and arrested Jesus has everything under its sovereign control. When Peter denied the Lord for the third time the rooster crowed from the backyard of the high priest Pedro looked inside where Jesus was mocked and found that "the Lord turned and looked at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of God ... And Peter went out and wept bitterly " Luke 22:61-62. Was it a loving look? Despite being hung on the cross, the love of the Lord to his people remained intact. Acting as the eldest son, made provision for the care of his mother, entrusted it to John the Apostle. These details are comforting for those who love our Lord and Savior. They provide peace and tranquility to the heart. We've all experienced that love in spite of the "lows" ours. "If we are faithless, He remains faithful, He can not deny himself" 2 Timothy 2:13. - DAJ
